Since 1985, family-owned & managed Tarangire Safari Lodge has been well known for its location and panoramic views. The open-air dining room provides a distinctive setting for our international home-style cuisine. Our signature buffets offer fresh fruits and vegetables, and a wide variety of flavorful dishes sure to satisfy every palate. Requests are welcome for dinner under the stars on our terrace, where you may choose from a range of wines and enjoy dinner by candlelight. Warm, friendly staff members are ready to assist and cater to all our guests’ needs and dietary requirements. Relax, put your feet up, and sip a refreshing drink in our bar and lounge area. Fresh Tanzanian coffee and teas are complimentary from 5:45am to get your day started before heading out on safari. Join us on the terrace at 6pm for daily ‘sundowners’, complimentary savories, and the unparalleled African sunset. Free Wi-Fi is available in this area, but our location in the bush doesn’t allow for a very fast connection… so we kindly recommend browsing our breathtaking views instead of the internet.
Recreation
Booked in advance through the lodge, game drives in the park, exhilarating night drives in our open-air vehicle, and bush walks along the river are on offer. Set among the shade of acacia trees, the inviting swimming pool provides a great location for an afternoon dip and a poolside cocktail. Changing rooms are nearby, and there is also a shallow splash pool for children to safely enjoy.
